5 Best Road Trips in North America

3. Route 12, Utah:

This is a 124 mile road, much of it at 9,000 feet above sea level (so pretty high). You will be travelling from Capitol Reef National Park all the way through to Bryce Canyon National Park, both gorgeous places on their own. Some of the trip will be spent through some forested mountains, and others, you will just see bare mountains once you hit Boulder. The final part of the trip will have you meandering through stunning red canyons. There are a few decent stops along the way, so this is a lovely route to travel for anybody who does not wish to travel too far but still wishes to see some of the best that Utah has to offer.
